The International Sales Manager is a dynamic individual that will lead the Clemens Food Group into the Sales and Marketing aspect of
International Sales. Strategic and Sales Planning as well as Performance Management are but a few areas that this role will be
responsible for as we develop the International direction of this organization.

Strategic Planning - Priority 1 - 30% of Time
Identify which partners that we want to partner.
Coordinate potential customers visits to CFG and Coldwater facility.
Incorporate feedback from customers into Strategic Plan.
Coordinate with government officials to help understand and navigate gate pricing.
Identify and match primals with appropriate international markets to minimize risk.
Communicate strategic plan and performance to Senior Management.
Establish a balance of what is sold directly versus through a trader.
Define organizational structure and lead effort to support the execution of the Strategic Plan.
Identify key traders that we want to partner with to optimize.
Reevaluate existing trader partners and how they can integrate with new plan.
Develop and communicate contingency plan for each outlet.
Evaluate the concentration risk with individual markets and develop contingency plan to mitigate the risk.

Sales Execution - Priority 2 - 25% of Time
Keep up to date on regulations for each country.
Identify opportunities to move inventory for the short-term and long-term.
Continue relationship building with current customers and partners.
Network with partners to proactively identify and assess market conditions.
Coordinate and communicate customer / partner visits to the Hatfield plant.
Coordinate the development of new product opportunities.
Attend export trade shows.
Coordinate warehousing of products.
Participate in USMEF meetings.
Follow up on gaps in meeting customer product specifications.
Oversee all the proper export documentation.
Approve customer credits.
Field and validate questions / comments from external and internal resources.

Go To Market Planning - Priority 3 - 20% of Time
Develop high-level marketing plan around our brand.
Coordinate category management resources to help support the marketing plan.
Optimize sales resources to obtain the highest return.
Coordinate with Primal Managers to marry plant utilization with the marketing plan.
Develop annual budget plan for volume and contribution margin.
Identify key segments with each market to optimize return.

Performance Management - Priority 4 - 15% of Time
Establish and negotiate long-term contracts with customers.
Manage accountability to performance metrics with traders / brokers and internal staff.
Establish targets for traders / brokers and internal staff.
Meet and / or exceed established targets for volume and contribution margin.
Utilize the CFG Performance Excellence process to develop and review individual objectives on a monthly basis.
Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement to drive waste out of the system.

Team CFG - Priority 5 - 10% of Time
Participate in Fresh Director staff meetings.
Participate in Coldwater meetings.
Participate in CFG sponsored leadership development program.
Participate in Customer Solutions Level 10 meetings.
Participate in weekly Fresh Pricing meeting.


Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
Export knowledge is required
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in sales with a strong customer centered focus
Ability and willingness to recognize and respond to new concepts
Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills
Multi-task oriented and a team player
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where change and growth are part of the culture
Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills preferred
Ability to travel
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
Lead through example
Must possess a positive attitude
