SUMMARY The responsibilities involved in this position include the following: to manage the department; to work with the Area Leads to monitor employees and the work load of each area; and to maintain an equal balance/ratio of employees to work load in each area on any given day. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. (1) Communicates with third-shift management to get updated on all information about what work is to be done. (2) Gives out general information to the crew and distributes the work load for the day. (3) Works with Area Leads to position employees as needed. (4) Checks inventory problems. (5) Handles communication with Maintenance and work orders when equipment fails. (6) Oversees the general operation of the warehouse. (7) Ensures cleanup is completed in the warehouse. (8) Assists with HACCP and SSOP forms. (9) Passes on information to second-shift management. (10) Is responsible for radio sign-out and ensuring they all work properly. (11) Adheres to and enforces all safety rules, QA guidelines, and PPE policies. (12) Develops Area Leads to their maximum potential. (13) Assists in disciplinary action and employee evaluations. (14) Documents employee issues in Notepad as well as keeping the Assistant Supervisor and Supervisor informed. (15) Has the ability to fill in for the Assistant Supervisor as needed. (16) Handles and communicates off-site fresh product with Plant 1. (17) Is responsible for RIMS area, ensuring it is working up to its capabilities. (18) Is responsible for ensuring the Forward Pick area is full to its maximum efficiency. (19) Ensures breaks are taken within the guidelines of the Company.
High reach lift and pallet jack skills preferred Must be willing to work in sub zero temperatures Cold Storage Warehouse experiences a plus. Basic math and verbal skills are needed.
