Responsibilities

 

Within the Clemens Food Group, the National Account Executive is responsible for key account development activities across the foodservice channel. Areas of focus will include contract management companies and select broad line distributors. This role offers a great opportunity to focus on aligning business and customer goals to deliver unique channel solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning process for the contract management account base, to ensure that the organization is aligned to key priorities and deliverables.
  • Develop and align joint business plans, including strategic pricing agreements, marketing plans, category management, innovation, and promotional activity.
  • Collaborate with the internal support team to set execution plans that deliver on strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with marketing, pricing, insights, culinary, and operations to develop programs and offerings that deepen strategic customer relationships.
  • Evaluate, select, and develop partnerships with new contract management customers to increase the overall breadth of the customer base.
  • Facilitate the corporate level relationship of 1-2 key broad line distribution partners.
  • Participate in key corporate initiatives as either a team member or steering team member to ensure that these cross-disciple efforts meet corporate objectives.

 

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, MBA is preferred
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in foodservice sales or marketing with a strong customer centered focus
  • Knowledge of contract management business, and emerging channel dynamics is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and execute measurable and sustainable process improvement in a sales organization
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and management presence; ability to present to senior management across the organization
  • Strong project management and analytics skills
  • Ability to excel in fast-paced environment where change and growth are part of the culture
  • Collaborative team player with service-orientation
  • Travel as needed (~25%)
