The Engineering Technical Administrator/Jr. Engineer is responsible for leading organization and efficiency improvements in Engineering department operations and project management processes. The ETA/Jr.Eng will create, implement, administer, and teach engineering department processes, department tools use, create reports, and govern data and document systems that ensure process control and enable continuous improvement of engineering department methods and practices. the ETA/Jr. Eng will also run small projects in learning project managment issues and challenges to enable understanding for creation of improved processes.


Administration - 80%

  • Develop and maintain engineering department process documentation including drawings, specifications, transmittals, requests for quotes, vendor submittals, comments, reviews and approvals, and other project documentation
  • Maintain electronic files and standard documents using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other software
  • Coordinate with project managers in keeping required project documentation on track and accurate
  • Generate Engineering Project and Capital reports
  • Approve, organize and maintain the approved contractor list and necessary contractor records
  • Create systems to improve engineering efficiency and workflow
  • Maintain and update site facilities drawings as impacted by individual projects.
  • Maintain entity hierarchy, asset numbers, and asset documentation

Capital and Projects - 15%

  • Lead the annual capital plan creation process
  • Teach project engineers and project administrators required use of capital and project management tools
  • Lead small projects within available time allowance in order to be current on project processes in order to develop understanding and create ideas for project and capital process improvements.

Team CFG - 5%

  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Attend and present at monthly Engineering review presentations
  • Participate in community events
  • Must build and leverage positive, cross-functional relationships to address identified issues and opportunities to implement best practices, as well as solutions to meet current and future business requirements.


  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in engineering field
  • Must have a valid Driver's license
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, and general connectivity of laptops and mobile devices
  • AutoCad experience
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards and acts with integrity
  • Have knowledge of Project Management concepts and practices
  • Able to work independently & in a team environment
  • Able to improve one's own knowledge and skills
  • Able to change and adapt quickly, especially to new technology
  • High degree of emotional intelligence. Able to control emotion in high pressure situations
  • Display and maintain good interpersonal communication and relationship skills
