Compliance- 30% of the time

Audit key expectations

Audit time and attendance (punches vs. manual etc.)

Partner with HR for team member relations

Participate in annual HR training

Train Farm Managers on environmental, safety, biosecurty and animal welfare programs

Audit environmental checklists (ensure completion), animal health, safety programs and production policies

Assist in financial audits as needed (ex. Inventory counts)


Production Management- 30% of the time

Challenge current system practices Code and approve invoices for area of responsibility Monitor regional production & financial budgets (hold accountability)

Review and approve direct reports' expense statements

Ensure that production & financial deadlines are met

Participate in vendor review and selection

Review and manage Paid Time Off requests for team

Participate in period end financial reviews

Drive new processes through sow production

Execute ADKAR Model for major changes Review and approve supply orders for sow farms Troubleshoot production, HR, health, transportation and financial issues Lead regional manager (production) meetings

Participate in sow production Level 10 meetings

Plan and prepare for service visit

Communicate with finishing farms regarding recurring issues

Set and deliver quarterly production Rocks (support CVFF initiatives)


Talent Management- 20% of the time

Coach direct reports (regarding talent development, job expectations, on coaching others) Ensure that hiring process is followed for all new team members

Interview new team members

Participate in recruiting efforts

Coach direct reports for effective Individual Performance Plans (IPPs)

Approve IPPs of direct reports

Develop individual IPPs

Assess current talent and raise bar on expectations

Onboard and train new direct reports

Execute succession plan

Periodic participation in managers' meeting (for coaching purposes)

Communicate policy and process changes to barn managers

Prepare and conduct Manager Trainee program

Develop training programs as needed


Strategy and Planning -15% of the time

Participate in safety team meeting

Participate in setting production & financial budgets

Participate in development of process and policies with HR, biosecurity, safety and animal welfare

Submit capital expenditure requests


Team CFG -5% of the time 

Advocate system changes to direct reports

Attend job definition sessions for positions within CFG

Lead/facilitate customer visits to farms

Participate in personal development programs

Model corporate culture and core values

Coordinate reinforcement celebrations (shared success, safety etc.)



  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or a degree from an accredited technical school; or a minimum of five years related experiences and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Position requires living within proximity of the production facilities which are located in Northern, PA and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Must understand that the Company is a producer of high quality pork and be supportive of the mission of raising swine for meat.
  • Must be willing to learn and perform the responsibilities described within Country View Family Farm's process manual.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
