    Responsibilities

    POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES

     

    The HR Communications team is responsible for translating our corporate vision and branding into an engaging, informative, and easily understood format across multiple platforms.

     

    Public Relations

    Prepare, maintain and update company holding statements
    Proactively write and distribute news/press releases
    Monitor news outlets including online, print and TV to understand what media is saying
    Identify proactive media opportunities
    Build relationships with all local news reporters and organizations
    Support internal subject matter experts with all external media and government inquiries and events
    Represent CFG as spokesperson for external media and government situations and opportunities as appropriate
    Manage "company" website and social media presence
    Respond to inquiries from the general public and facilitate as needed
    Proactively seek out industry specific events for Communications Director or other leaders to attend
    Review and maintain all external company presentations/slide decks
    Create and oversee guidelines for external usage of company information and materials
    Create and oversee internal database of media "hits"
    Craft and maintain external PR holding statements
    Proactively write and distibute all mass shareholder communication
    Craft messaging and "ghost write" any shareholder communication
    Attend shareholder meetings and deliver content as needed
    Respond to media inquiries as needed

     

    Community Relations

    Executes and makes reccomendations to communication strategy
    Develops, writes, and edits communications for internal audiences as directed ( ghost writing when needed )
    Develops plan to memorialize events
    Creates and/or coordinates key message and delivery for events and internal campaigns
    Leveraging internal communications for post event acknowledgment
    Develops and maintains corporate calendar events
    Manages corporate/company archives of events and significant milestones
    Coordinates multilingual execution as required (translators for events, comunications translated)
    Develops standard SOP's in advance of common events (team building events, celebrations, focus groups, etc.)
    Develop standard set of vendor partners to execute events

     

    Talent Management

    Execute on all Performance Management and coaching for all direct reports
    Identify top-talent and ensure mentoring is in place for these individuals.
    Identify growth opportunities for team by enabling exposure to rest of organization and delegate assignments accordingly.
    Ensure necessary skills for team success are identified and plans to develop are in place.
    Serve as hiring manager for all direct reports by selecting and evaluating individual candidates.
    Utilize the Clemens Food Group Screening process & tools.
    Drive the development, adherence and effectiveness of the onboarding plan for team.
    Participate as mentor to individuals outside area of responsibility.

    Ensure alignment and definition of all roles with clear expectations & KPIs for team members

    Qualifications

    Position Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Communications Strongly preferred

    Minimum 5-7 years related experience in corporate communication/community relations

    Proven ability to lead and manage a team

    Strong written and verbal communication is required
