    Provide assistance to Research Technologists by supporting Fresh & Value Added Product Development, Process, Cost, and /or Quality Improvements. The Team Member will support raw material investigations (Fat, Lean, pH, Color, Fat Melting Point, Iodine Value, and Yields) as well as developing new products or identify opportunities to drive quality & cost savings within current products. Specific tasks would include the following:


    • Performs & collects quality measurements & data on hog carcasses using a variety of measuring devise including a Hennessey Grading Probe.
    • Records & complies test results and prepares graphs, charts, or reports.
    • Prepares & documents samples to be submitted to our analytical lab for testing.
    • Perform internal & competitive product reviews.
    • Develop specifications for new products or modified products.
    • Lead & Document inspections & key product meetings.
    • Evaluate products for shelf life performance.
    • Perform development work in connection with scale launches.
    • Able to follow directions from R&D Technologists as needed to accomplish project tasks.   





    • At least 2 years enrolled in an accredited Animal Science, Food Science, or Biological Program.
    • Research or Laboratory background & experience in a food production facility helpful.
    • Solid math & communication skills necessary. Fluent in Excel, Word & Power Point.
    • Positive attitude a must.
    • Must be organized and have attention to detail.
    • Able to work independently or as part of a Team.
    • Able to follow Clemens Food Group GMP & Safety rules.
