The Safety Manager is responsible for:
Performance Management - Priority 1 - 20% of Time Responsible for analysis of safety results, evaluate the effectiveness of programs and drive improvements through business leaders Develop and manage departmental budgets Manage vendor relationships and evaluate performance Develop and monitor corporate safety scorecard Monitor effectiveness of HPE and drug testing program and implement new practices as needed Establish team KPIs Strategic Planning.
Priority 2 - 25% of Time Define, create, and drive safety culture with senior leadership Provide capital recommendations for safety improvments Be a safety resource for all engineering designs Partner with leaders to set company safety goals and drive goals through organization Create buy-in for organization's safety vision Develop and manage strategy for safety training plan Align with internal business partners to identify programs needed in the safety plan Lead Safety Steering Committee Safety Program Management.
Priority 3 - 25% of Time Identify, develop, and monitor effectiveness of safety programs Provide support to compliance safety specialist for audits Report completion of all required safety trainings and communications Research and provide recommendations on safety programs "best practices" throughout the business Build and implement safety recognition process Provide organizational awareness for overall safety improvments Utilize broker and carrier resources as needed Manage Task Force Program development process Lead weekly Task Force Chair meeting Responsible for resource allocation and success of task forces Review all safety training content and provide updates as needed Create guidelines for building safety programs and roll-outs Develop criteria and process for critical care Talent Management.
Priority 4 - 20% of Time Establish succession plan for team Sourcing talent from internal and external Evaluate and define team structure based on changing business needs Develop talent pipeline Provide coaching and support to team Team CFG.
Priority 5 - 10% of Time Be subject matter expert and accountable for safety compliance Participating in supply chain level 10 meetings Provide support to crisis management team Serve as safety advisor for all team members Provide input to work compensation manager on medical providers and insurance carrier Participate in Wellness Committee
