The primary purpose of this position is to read and follow charts closely and weigh out ingredients accurately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
**This position requires one who is multi-task oriented and a team player.
1) Is responsible for weighing and labeling ingredients such as salt and phosphate.
2) Must know and be able to adhere to the proper order for mixing ingredients.
3) Follows procedures for each batch of cure thoroughly.
4) Properly completes all cure paperwork prior to the shipment
5) Ensures the cure passes QA refractometer range prior to shipment.
6) Cooperates with management personnel.
7) Is able to perform all jobs within the department.
8) Must be able to job-share as needed.
9) Must possess good communication skills.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred and six months to one year of in-house experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups employees.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
