This position will establish priorities and align resources in regards to implementing best practices, procedures and programs that drive superior customer service and continuous improvement through the organization. This role leads the Purchasing, Planning & Scheduling, and Customer Service functions.  In a highly collaborative manner, the Director is responsible for pulling together the numerous Supply Chain inputs of a dynamic business and ensuring that the "Voice of the Customer" is consistently communicated.


As the Director of Supply Chain you will be responsible for the following:


Aggressively lead the supply chain team in achievement of organizational goals: Order fill, service level, schedule attainment, inventory levels (working capital), procurement savings, etc.


Participate in personnel development at all levels through recruiting, performance management, and providing opportunities for high performers, education, communication, and expectation setting.


Challenge team to develop aggressive initiatives that enhance our ability to provide excellent service at reduced costs.


Establish KPI's that support company objectives and drive team to achieve. Ensure that effective processes are in place to continually review and improve metrics (scorecards, effective meetings, accountability, etc. ).


Create a culture of process improvement by addressing root cause and ensuring solutions are scalable across the organization.


Develop strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team to optimize value of the entire function in creating a world-class customers supply group providing exceptional customer service to downstream customers.


Participate in short and long term capacity and facility planning. Play an active role in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Ensure that plans exists to address potential constraints in achieving aggressive growth goals.


Participate in strategic planning with executive team and ensure that supply chain area is, in-turn, aligned to support growth and optimization objectives.


Seek, identify and introduce best practices for all processes including but not limited to inventory management, strategic sourcing, and lead-time reduction.


Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) in related field. 
Advanced degree (MBA or related field) preferred
10 Years + Supply Chain and/or Leadership experience with track record of success.
